Peat is coming off a standout freshman season with the Wildcats, where he quickly established himself as a key contributor. He is listed as a versatile power forward with the defensive mobility to guard multiple positions and the strength to compete in the paint. The projection reflects New York’s need for size and physicality, and Peat’s two-way production makes him an appealing fit.

He averaged 14.1 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 52.8% from the field, providing consistent scoring efficiency and physical presence around the rim. His ability to finish through contact, run the floor and contribute made him one of the more efficient frontcourt freshmen in his class.

At 6-foot-8, Peat has shown flashes of the interior presence NBA teams value in forwards, along with the versatility to step out and defend on the perimeter. That combination of strength, mobility and production as a freshman made him a steady contributor in high-level matchups.

A standout from Perry High School, Peat continued his development in Tucson and played a key role in helping the Wildcats reach the Final Four. His impact on a deep postseason run as a freshman further elevated his draft profile, showing he can contribute in high-pressure environments.

For NBA teams, Peat’s appeal lies in his early production, efficiency, and defensive versatility at a young age. Players who can impact winning without dominating the ball often rise on draft boards, and Peat’s freshman season has positioned him as one of those developmental but high-upside prospects.

Even in a mock draft, his inclusion highlights the Valley’s growing presence in the NBA pipeline. His rise has drawn attention not only for his production, but also for his steady performance against elite national competition.
