The Phoenix Suns are already 10% of the way through the regular season and star forward Kevin Durant is already making a strong early case for the league MVP. Durant is 7th in the league scoring right now at 27.8 PPG, while shooting 55% from the floor, 42% from 3 and 81% from the free throw line. He’s also been able to fill up the rest of the stat sheet by pulling down 6.8 rebounds and handing out 3.4 assists a game. But his real impact is being felt in the most important category: winning.

Phoenix is 7-1 on the season and sits tied on top the stands in the West. Wednesday night KD hit the big shot late to close out the win for the Suns over the Miami and on Monday he hit the game-winner against the 76ers. Despite his early season successes though, Vegas currently is only giving him the 7th best odds to win the MVP, behind SGA, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Edwards and Anthony Davis.
