“We’ll evaluate him, see how he feels in the morning. There’s no update now,” Budenholzer said.

Dunn exited the contest with 9:20 remaining and went back to the locker room and did not return.

The Virginia product started off the year hot, but had gone 0-for-7 from the field over the last two games entering Wednesday’s contest. Dunn broke out of his mini slump against Miami, recording seven points on 2-for-2 shooting (both from 3), a rebound and assist in nine minutes.

According to PHNX‘s Gerald Bourguet on X, “Ryan Dunn went to get treatment after the game. Left ankle looked fair swollen and he had a noticeable limp walking out of the locker room.”

Phoenix selected Dunn with the No. 28 overall pick in this year’s draft. He placed fourth on NBA.com’s first official rookie ladder released Wednesday and is averaging 6.8 points on 45.5% shooting in 15.9 minutes per game so far this season.

The Suns have now won six-straight games after defeating the Heat and are 7-1 on the year, tied for their best start in franchise history. Phoenix next travels to play the Dallas Mavericks Friday, meaning the team’s injury report will release around 4:00 p.m. MST today.

The Suns will not practice today, so Budenholzer will not give another update on Dunn’s injury until Friday.
