ASU football has calmed down its the recruiting of the 2025 high school class and the de-commitment of Hamilton High School cornerback Dajon Hinton, but the Sun Devils are back at it again with yet another addition.

High School defensive lineman Daeshon Morgan announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he will become a Sun Devil after this upcoming season.
“First off, I want to thank the LORD almighty for giving me life and giving me the ability to play football,” Morgan said. “I want to thank my family for their tough love and support in the first half of my football career. I would like to thank my coaches and teammates for making me better on and off the field, and also making each day more enjoyable.
“After close consideration and prayer, I choose to commit to Arizona State University. I felt the genuine love from the coaches and everyone apart of the university. I trust in God’s guidance as I further my Academic and Athletic career at ASU. Thank you GOD!”

During this spring, Morgan officially visited Tempe during his recruitment process. Before he made this decision to go to Arizona State, he received offers from Sam Houston State, North Texas, Colorado State, California, Arkansas State, Texas Tech, UTSA, UTEP and UNLV.
247Sports rates him as a three-star recruit and the No. 204 best high school player in Texas. According to MaxPreps, he played 11 games where he totaled 34 tackles and 6.0 sacks last season as the Vipers were 10-1 and 7-0 in their district. At the end of his junior year at Vandegrift, Robinson was listed at 6-foot-4 and 268 pounds.
With his commitment to Arizona State, Morgan is the fifth player from Texas who plans to join ASU in 2025. Weiss High School wide receiver Adrian Wilson, Texas City safety Xavier Skowron, Legacy the School of Sport Sciences cornerback Joseph Smith and Duncanville cornerback Desean Bryant Jr. are also future Sun Devils.
For this upcoming season, the “Texas2Tempe” movement the program has been clamoring about features receivers Jordyn Tyson, Troy Omeire, Kaden Black, Derek Eusebio and Korbin Hendrix, defensive backs Xavion Alford, Chris Johnson II, Montana Warren, Joseph McGinnis II, Tony-Louis Nkuba, Rodney Bimage Jr. and Keith Abney II, defensive linemen Clayton Smith, J.P. Deeter, C.J. Fite and Prince Dorbah, running back Kyson Brown, linebacker Jordan Crook, offensive lineman Josh Atkins and tight end Cameron Harpole.

ASU officially begins the 2024 season on August 31 when they take on Wyoming at Mountain America Stadium at 7:30 p.m. PT.
