After it was reported that he de-committed from Baylor and secured an official visit with ASU Football, Duncanville High School (Texas) offensive tackle Desean Bryant Jr. has committed to the Sun Devils.

Joining the “Texas2Tempe” movement, Bryant Jr. will play for Arizona State in 2025.

From Texas to Tempe, receivers Jordyn Tyson, Troy Omeire, Kaden Black, Derek Eusebio and Korbin Hendrix, defensive backs Xavion Alford, Chris Johnson II, Montana Warren, Joseph McGinnis II, Tony-Louis Nkuba, Rodney Bimage Jr. and Keith Abney II, defensive linemen Clayton Smith, J.P. Deeter, C.J. Fite and Prince Dorbah, running back Kyson Brown, linebacker Jordan Crook, offensive lineman Josh Atkins and tight end Cameron Harpole are all Sun Devils this season.
Before announcing that he is going to play for Arizona State in 2025, Bryant Jr. originally committed to Baylor last August. His hometown of Duncanville is around an hour and a half drive to Waco, where Baylor is located.
But on April 10, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound lineman re-opened his recruitment after he de-committed from Baylor.
“First, I would like to thank the coaches for giving me the opportunity to play at Baylor University,” Bryant Jr. said. “I would also like to thank my family and HS [High School] coaches for their continued support through the recruitment process. After careful consideration, I am reopening my recruitment and I am de-committing.”

Helping Duncanville win back-to-back Texas 6A Division I state championships, Bryant Jr. was one of the team’s leaders who guided them to a 29-1 combined record over the past two seasons. With one more year left of high school, he is in the graduating class of 2025.
According to 247Sports, he is a three-star recruit and had received previous offers from Tulane, TCU, Grambling State, Purdue, Tulsa, Duke and Memphis during his recruitment process.
Bryant Jr. is the 13th commitment in the 2025 class for ASU.
