Brophy Keep It Rolling
The Broncos started the season with five straight victories but then lost nine of their next 13 games. This dropped the team significantly in state and national rankings.
However, they have picked it up and now won three straight, including this victory against one of the top teams in the country. The Pumas are the reigning open state champion and are currently ranked as the No. 1 team in Arizona.
Led by senior guard Braeden Speed and junior guard Ryan Burbach, Brophy knows what it takes to defeat a team like Perry.

While they have struggled at times this season, the Broncos proved that when they play at their highest level, there is no one they can’t beat.
Brophy will next face off against the Basha Bears (15-5) on Friday, Jan 26 @ 7 p.m. MST. This is another difficult matchup but one that the team is more than prepared for.
Perry Drop One
The Pumas have been the most dominant team in Arizona for two years now, but have also dropped some games. This is just Perry’s second loss to an in-state team this season, as well as just their second loss by double-digit points.
Despite the loss, it should not be used against the team too much and the Pumas should still be considered the team to beat in Arizona.
What an awesome team win by Perry Basketball over #9 ranked Grayson (GA)!!!

They will next match up against the Hamilton Huskies (12-7) on Tuesday, Jan 23 @ 7 p.m. MST, as they look to put this loss behind them and get back on track.
