The Giants opened the season against the Washington Commanders, with Cam Skattebo playing his first NFL regular-season game. During a first-quarter drive, New York quarterback Russell Wilson connected with the rookie running back for a catch — but it wasn’t the reception that surprised fans.
After the catch, the former Sun Devil ran through tackles from two Washington players to pick up additional yardage.
You still can’t tackle Cam Skattebo!

The Giants selected Skattebo with the 105th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after playing at Arizona State for two seasons. In his final season at ASU, Skattebo recorded 293 carries for 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. He also caught 45 passes for 605 yards and three touchdowns.
As he begins his career in the NFL, Sunday’s debut may be an early sign of Skattebo’s potential with the Giants and how quickly he’s becoming a fan favorite.
