PHOENIX — Grand Canyon University has finalized an agreement to join the Mountain West, a year ahead of schedule, on Monday, July 8.

According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, GCU is expected to be added to MWC schedules for the 2025-2026 school year. The Antelopes become the 12th member of the MWC, joining schools such as the Air Force Academy, New Mexico, UNLV, Colorado State, San Diego State and Utah.

GCU left the Western Athletic Conference for the West Coast Conference and was close to not having a conference affiliation this year, before agreeing to join the MWC this fall.
