GLENDALE – After years of debating coaches, quarterbacks, and general managers, the Arizona Cardinals fans are voicing their frustrations with criticism directed toward the one position that cannot be fired: owner Michael Bidwill. That criticism received a national megaphone when Barstool Sports personality Dan “Big Cat” Katz unloaded an expletive-filled tirade on Bidwill, calling him a “terrible owner” and saying, “Let’s get him out.”

@BarstoolBigCat is a man of his word. He goes off on Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill calling him to sell the team.
#BidwillOut out has officially made it out of Arizona. Big Cat says he’s going to do a deep dive next.. so maybe more to come. https://t.co/snCIs34g1Z

Katz also indicated he plans to dive deeper into the Cardinals’ organizational dysfunction, bringing national attention to issues Arizona fans have discussed for years.

That is what makes his comments significant. This isn’t simply an outsider piling onto a struggling franchise. It comes as Cardinals fans have funded Valley billboards reading “SELL THE TEAM” and “#BIDWILLOUT.” The campaign raised thousands of dollars as Arizona stumbled through another difficult season. The frustration extends beyond wins and losses.

On the field, Arizona hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2015 season and hasn’t reached the postseason since 2021, and currently they are on a 10-game home-game losing streak. That history explains why another coaching change or roster rebuild may no longer satisfy a growing portion of the fanbase. National voices joining a locally organized movement changes the conversation; what once looked like frustration over losing is becoming something much bigger.
