A block by Rising goalkeeper Triston Henry got the second half started. Rémi Cabral would score the first goal of the match at the 61st minute after a penalty awarded him with the opportunity. This would be Cabral’s third goal of the year. However, San Antonio would answer back with another penalty shot of its own.
At the 63rd minute, a yellow was given to Rising’s Tristion Henry, and San Antionio’s Jorge Hernandez scored a goal at the 65th minute. With both clubs tied 1-1, and not even two minutes later, Rising’s Jearl Margaitha would then score Rising’s second goal of the game at the 67th minute, and led 2-1. Rising kept San Antinio at bay and, for the first time since October 12, 2024, are victorious. The club snapped a seven-game losing streak. Phoenix Rising Head Coach Pa–Modou Kah shares that today was a great game for the boys in red.
“I’m super proud of the boys’ resilience,” Kah said. “They never for once showed any doubt in their quality and belief. This is their victory. They deserved it.”
Key Word: Trust.

Today, Rising continued its attack-type approach, scoring multiple goals for the third time this season. “What we’re trying to implement is dominant football,” Kah said. “A team that is looking to be on the front-foot, trying to win games and score goals, because goals win you games.”
Phoenix Rising heads home and faces Detroit City FC next, this Saturday, April 12, at 7 p.m.
