GLENDALE – The agonizing four month wait is over for Arizona Cardinals fans is over, as the team and quarterback Jacoby Brissett agreed to a new deal. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the reworked contract is worth up to $21 million in incentives and has $15.5 million in guaranteed money. The new deal is a massive pay jump from his last contract, only have $1.5 million in guarantees for next season.

Brissett and Cardinals get deal done:
Brissett set career marks in passing yards, touchdowns and completion percentage as a starter. He helped unlocked the offense and two players to have career seasons: Michael Wilson and Trey McBride. With the 33-year-old under center, Wilson had the first 1000-yard season by a Cardinals wide receiver since DeAndre Hopkins, gifting him a soon to be massive extension. McBride went from Pro Bowl status to nearly unanimous first-team All-Pro, recording 1,239 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

The new deal almost certainly secures Brissett starting role for 2026 and allows for the chemistry with the skill players from last season to carry over into this season. The 10-year pro missed voluntary minicamp and didn’t participate in mandatory minicamp. Brissett was determined to wait to the beginning of the season to get a new deal and would not budge. He made the right call earning the biggest payday of his career.
