This situation deserves a different perspective. Arizona Sports insider John Gambadoro mentioned there is no trade scenario involving Marte, reinforcing what makes the most sense from a baseball standpoint. Arizona is playing meaningful baseball and remains firmly in the National League Wild Card race. Teams in contention don’t voluntarily move franchise cornerstones unless they’re overwhelmed by an offer, and nothing suggests that’s happening.
