The 5-foot-11, 185-pound corner compiled 40 tackles, four passes defended and snagged three interceptions in all 12 games for the Boilermakers.
Having an interesting journey across the country, he started his collegiate career at Ole Miss, transferred to Colorado in 2023 and transferred again to Purdue last year. Breedlove has one year of eligibility remaining.
Out of Pearl-Cohn High School in Nashville, Tenn., Breedlove was a three-star recruit ranked by 247Sports. He attracted offers from Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Nebraska, Missouri, Michigan State, LSU, Mississippi State, Memphis, Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana, Georgia, Baylor and Auburn before picking Ole Miss originally.
USC offered Breedlove this past December before he entered the transfer portal for the third time and chose ASU.
With Shamari Simmons entering his name in the NFL Draft after running out of eligibility, Breedlove will have the opportunity to fill in the hole at nickel next season. Cole Martin also departed from ASU to transfer to UCLA.
Breedlove joins Green, wide receiver Jaren Hamilton (Alabama), offensive lineman Xander Ruggeroli (Nebraska) offensive lineman Jimeto Obigbo (Texas State) and defensive tackle My’Keil Gardner (Oregon) as players who transferred to Arizona State over the last few days.
Safety Adrian Wilson (Washington State), tight end Khamari Anderson (Kentucky), running back Kanye Udoh (Army), wide receiver Jalen Moss (Fresno State), wide receiver Noble Johnson (Clemson) and kicker Jesus Gomez (Eastern Michigan) all swapped to ASU earlier on in the portal window.
