GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals fans’ frustration has boiled over, with supporters taking their message directly to team owner Michael Bidwill through a billboard campaign calling for him to sell the franchise.

Kickstarted by Valley sports personality Mr. AZ, the campaign has raised almost $7,000 through GoFundMe as supporters look to expand their message. The first billboard is already up along Loop 202 in Mesa.
The campaign reflects a growing divide between Cardinals fans and ownership, with many questioning whether the franchise can move forward under Bidwill’s leadership.
“Arizona deserves better,” the fundraiser states. “It’s time for Michael Bidwill to sell the Arizona Cardinals and move on. Enough is enough.”

The fundraiser criticizes what organizers describe as Bidwill’s lack of commitment to winning, arguing that the franchise has failed to put its fans first or consistently deliver a competitive product on the field.
With the first billboard in place, Mr. AZ hopes to take the efforts beyond billboards by creating merchandise featuring the same message and finding additional ways to make the movement visible throughout the Valley. The goal is to turn fan frustration into a sustained public campaign that keeps pressure on ownership.

That frustration stems from years of inconsistency and questions about the franchise’s long-term direction. Despite occasional flashes of promise, the Cardinals have struggled to establish themselves as consistent contenders, leaving supporters wondering when the organization will take the necessary steps to build a winner.
Recent moves have only added to the uncertainty surrounding the franchise. Moving on from quarterback Kyler Murray and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. represents a drastic change and adds another layer of scrutiny to the team’s roster and its future.

The Cardinals’ 1-4 start to the 2026 season has further intensified the criticism, giving frustrated fans another reason to question the organization’s direction. Playing in the highly competitive NFC West, Arizona faces a difficult path toward sustained success, and patience among the fan base is disappearing.
Whether the billboard campaign will influence Bidwill or the team’s ownership is unknown, but organizers hope continued public pressure will ensure their message reaches beyond social media and into the community.

The issue is bigger than a slow start or another disappointing season. Fans want a different future for the franchise, and they believe it needs to start with a change at the top.
