Following the conclusion of the 2024 season for ASU football, one of the players who entered the transfer portal has found a new home.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! After two seasons at Florida before this year at Arizona State, safety Kamari Wilson announced that he has transferred once again and will be heading to Memphis for 2025.
Wilson, a Florida native, collected 11 tackles in 12 games this year for the Sun Devils. He did not play in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl where ASU fell to Texas 39-31 in double overtime on Jan. 1.
At Florida from 2021-22, the 6-footer had 40 tackles, one pass defended and forced a fumble. Wilson was a former four-star high school prospect coming out of IMG Academy.
So far for former Sun Devils who have transferred elsewhere, the list now consists of Wilson, cornerback Keontez Bradley (Buffalo), Korbin Hendrix (Montana), tight end Markeston Douglas (returning to Flordia State), wide receiver Jamaal Young II (North Dakota), wide receiver Kaleb Black (Sam Houston) and cornerback Cole Martin (UCLA).
As for others who entered their name in the portal but haven’t found a landing spot, defensive lineman Landen Thomas, defensive lineman Harold Brooks, offensive lineman Luis Cordova, linebacker K’Vion Thunderbird, defensive lineman Kyran Bourda, cornerback Laterrance Welch, defensive lineman Tristan Monday and defensive lineman J’Mond Tapp are still in search of a new opportunity.
Making additions in the portal, ASU has picked up safety Adrian Wilson (Washington State), tight end Khamari Anderson (Kentucky), running back Kanye Udoh (Army), wide receiver Jalen Moss (Fresno State), wide receiver Noble Johnson (Clemson) and kicker Jesus Gomez (Eastern Michigan).
