PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reportedly have a clear offensive need they want to address this offseason: their production against right-handed pitching.
The Diamondbacks are exploring ways to better balance the lineup against right-handers, per @JimBowdenGM
“The Diamondbacks ranked first in MLB with a .275 BA versus left-handed pitching in 2026, but they hit just .235 against right-handed pitching and ranked 26th against righties with a .697 OPS.”

According to MLB insider Jim Bowden, the D-Backs will “explore” ways to better balance the lineup against righties, especially after ranking 24th in MLB with a .235 batting average against right-handed pitching and 26th with a .697 OPS. In comparison, Arizona ranked first in the league against left-handed pitchers with a .275 batting average.
Which free agents could be a fit for the Diamondbacks’ needs, and what could they bring?
