Durant is entering the 18th year of his career and his second full season with the Suns after Phoenix was swept in the first round of the 2024 playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves following a 49-33 regular season.
Even at age 35 and five years removed from an Achilles tear, Durant played in 75 games last season and averaged the fifth-most points in the NBA at 27.1 per game on .523/.413/.856 shooting splits to go along with 6.6 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He was named to the All-NBA Second Team, his 11th All-NBA team of his career.
The Suns close out the preseason on Thursday against James’ Los Angeles Lakers and begin the regular season on Oct. 23 with a road matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers.
