The Phoenix Suns are just coming off a 118-114 preseason win over the Denver Nuggets, but that didn’t stop Kevin Durant from going viral on social media once again.

On Monday morning, Durant originally posted on X/Twitter that he scrolled through the comments of a popular NBA parody account called “NBACentel” and saw thousands of people have fallen for its clickbait with no truth.

“Sometimes I wake up and look at @TheNBACentel comments just to truly see how many dummies come online thinking that they have high IQ. Good morning,” Durant said.

As a response, “NBACentel” replied with two words, “Preach Dawg.”

Though there is no main reason known as to why Durant tweeted this on Monday, “NBACental” came up with a fake quote over the weekend about his relationship status off the court and this could have been a response to it.

“Kevin Durant reveals why he’s single: ‘Still rolling solo because I’m not dealing with the headache of debating ball with a woman who can’t name my MVP year or break down a pick-and-roll.’ Via @ESPNNBA,” the profile posted on Saturday.

A user then called out the Suns forward in a reply and two minutes before the tweet Monday from Durant, the NBA star told the person that he got fooled.

“You got Centel’d,” Durant said.

The “NBA Centel” account has been flagged on posts for misinformation by X/Twitter itself with many false claims and mentioning credible sources to make it seem legit to online users. Though the posts have next to no merit, they get a range of thousands to millions of views that almost every user knows is a joke.

Though there was no original post that is the reason Durant said what he said, this isn’t the first time that the “NBACental” account and he has crossed paths on the internet.

Back on June 2, “NBACental” posted a fake Tinder dating profile and Durant dismissed the photoshopped graphic by clapping back with, “Look at these clowns, believing this is real.”

With the NBA preseason currently underway before Phoenix’s regular season begins on Oct. 23, there will surely be more viral interactions involving Durant on social media going forward.
