PHOENIX –Phoenix Suns fans wasted little time pushing back on CBS NBA reporter Sam Quinn after he said he’d rather be the Los Angeles Clippers than the Suns in a social media post.

“TBH I’d rather be the Clippers than the Suns,” Quinn wrote in a quote repost responding to a social media question about whether the Clippers now have the worst future among major sports teams. The question comes as the Clippers face an uncertain future after the NBA punished the franchise in a salary-cap investigation, including stripping Los Angeles of five future first-round picks.
The comment quickly drew the ire of Phoenix fans, many of whom questioned how Quinn could view Los Angeles’ future more favorably than Phoenix’s.

Others pointed to the reporter’s past shots at the Suns, including when Quinn said the club would never win a playoff series with Chris Paul and would be dominated by the Clippers during the playoffs.
Instead, the Suns eliminated the Clippers in 2021, winning the Western Conference finals 4-2 to reach the NBA Finals. Paul scored 41 points in the decisive Game 6 to help Phoenix close out the series.
