“UCLA edge Laiatu Latu, one of the draft’s best pass rushers, is on a Top 30 visit to the [Minnesota] Vikings today,” Rapoport said. “He was with the [Chicago] Bears yesterday and already met with the [Denver] Broncos, plus he has [the] Cardinals tomorrow.

The Sacramento native was a four-star recruit out of high school and committed to Washington.
Playing just one season in 2019 for the Huskies, Latu appeared in just eight games at linebacker and had 15 tackles and 0.5 sacks.
As he was about to enter his sophomore year, the 23-year-old suffered a neck injury and retired for two seasons. Doctors believed the injury was too serious for him to return to football, but he would enter the transfer portal.
Latu then transferred to UCLA and was cleared to play in 2022 by their medical staff. Transitioning into a defensive lineman, he suited up for 25 games, accumulating 23.5 sacks, 85 tackles and forced five fumbles for the Bruins.
Last season, Latu won the Ten Hendricks Award for best defensive end in college football and was a unanimous All-American. The 6-foot-5 edge also made the first-team All-PAC-12 twice.
With potential warning signs over his injury history, it may cause some teams to be cautious when deliberating whether to draft him or not.
Time will tell with where Latu ends up landing considering he is still a premier defender in the draft. Arizona has the No. 27 pick in the first round, about where Latu is projected to go.
