In his Boilermakers finale, Edey finished with 37 points and 10 rebounds on 15-of-25 shooting from the field.
Despite his box score numbers, the 21-year-old was gassed early on and went over 10 minutes without a single bucket. This helped lead to a huge Huskies run.
“I can’t go through stretches where I’m not effective and I had a few of those stretches today,” Edey said postgame.
The 7-foot-4 big man has won back-to-back Men’s College Basketball Player of the Year awards. While he was unable to secure a National Championship for Purdue, Edey left a significant mark on the program.
He will likely now enter the 2024 NBA Draft and is currently projected to be a fringe first-round pick.
UConn has secured its second-straight National title and remains the most dominant team in Men’s college basketball.
