Chance to repeat

The Hawks (19-7) brought home their first state championship win last year, defeating Brophy in the 6A title game.

After defeating the Sandra Day O’Connor Eagles to begin the Open State Playoffs, Highland was not able to keep up with Notre Dame Prep.

Notre Dame Prep prove to be too much for Highland

While the Highland Hawks have not been as high-scoring as some of the other teams in the state, they have been incredible defensively.

Through 26 games played, Highland has allowed fewer than 50 points per game.

6A matchup

They now enter the 6A Playoffs as the No. 4 seed.

Highland is set to face the Red Mountain Mountain Lions (15-12) on Wednesday, Feb. 21 @ 7 p.m. MST.

The two teams faced each other just last month, with the Hawks coming out on top 57-52. Highland now has an opportunity to bring home their second-straight 6A Championship title.
