The Hawks (19-7) brought home their first state championship win last year, defeating Brophy in the 6A title game.
After defeating the Sandra Day O’Connor Eagles to begin the Open State Playoffs, Highland was not able to keep up with Notre Dame Prep.
While the Highland Hawks have not been as high-scoring as some of the other teams in the state, they have been incredible defensively.
Through 26 games played, Highland has allowed fewer than 50 points per game.
