Today, October 26th, is the 33rd ‘Sports Equinox’ in history.
All four major U.S. men’s pro sports leagues, plus the WNBA, will be in action:
⚾️ World Series Game 3
🏈 Monday Night Football
🏀 9 NBA games
🏒 3 NHL games
🏆 WNBA Finals Game 5 https://t.co/KwPnPuv3FL— Front Office Sports (@FOS) October 26, 2026
The Sports Equinox is a rare day when all four major U.S. men’s professional sports leagues and the WNBA are in action. Monday’s lineup features nine NBA games, three NHL games, Game 3 of the World Series, Monday Night Football and Game 5 of the WNBA Finals.
Although this marks the 33rd time it’s ever happened, the convergence is still rare. October is already an action-packed month for sports, but having all five leagues in action on the same day creates a pretty busy calendar for fans.

For Phoenix, the spotlight falls on a road matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who enter Monday’s game with a 3-0 record. The matchup gives the Suns an early-season test against one of the Western Conference’s top teams, even as championship stakes in other leagues draw attention across the country.
The Suns enter the game following a 131-122 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, giving Phoenix momentum heading into its road matchup.
