Phoenix Suns’ coach Frank Vogel postgame press conference after the Phoenix Suns (13-10) defeat the Golden State Warriors (10-13) 119-116
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In Bradley Beal’s first game back in exactly a month, the Phoenix Suns narrowly escaped with a victory over the Golden State Warriors after nearly coughing up a big lead late in the fourth.
Vogel was certainly not happy with the team’s fourth quarter performance.
“Yeah, we gotta stop doing that shit to ourselves,” Vogel said. “It’s getting old … got to stop doing that to ourselves. That being said, we enjoy wins. It’s a good-ass win.”
The Suns were still missing Kevin Durant (ankle), Grayson Allen (groin), Nassir Little (concussion) and Damion Lee (knee). Josh Okogie went down with a hip injury in the first half and didn’t return.
“Short-handed wins are great wins, and I was very proud of our guys competing and doing enough to get the W,” Vogel said.
This game saw some drama-filled action, highlighted by the ejection of Draymond Green after he slapped Jusuf Nurkić across the face.
“Just looked like a reckless and dangerous play,” Vogel said. I’m sensitive to our guys getting hit on plays like that. So I didn’t like it, the refs did what they had to do, and the league will do what they have to do.”
