This comes after the Cardinals had to add Murray to their active roster or he would have been ineligible to play for the remainder of the season.
Tomorrow, Murray’s three week practice window expires, so this move was expected to be made before the deadline.
Furthermore, Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon said that if all goes to plan, Murray will make his 2023 season debut against the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 12.
Since Oct. 18, Murray has been practicing after being taken off injured reserve by the Cardinals.
Before then, Murray was rehabbing from an ACL injury he suffered against the New England Patriots on Dec. 12, 2022.
Also, Murray has been taking part in full practice reps since Oct. 25.
Over the last two weeks, there was speculation as to if Murray was going to start against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 5, but he remained on the sidelines.
Now, this move indicates that Kyler Murray will be back in the red, black and white very soon.
