As Tyson turns his attention to a career in the NFL, his selection will be remembered for the collegiate career that led him to this moment. It reinforces the program’s ability to develop and showcase high-end offensive talent on the national stage after years of inconsistency.

Many analysts had the former Sun Devil as a first-round pick, noting his consistent level of play combined with speed and ability to track the ball.

Tyson’s pick caps a two-year stretch in Tempe, where he became the focal point of the Sun Devils’ offense and one of the Big 12’s most reliable targets. In 2024, Tyson had his breakout season after transferring to the Valley from Colorado, when he recorded 75 receptions for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns.

That performance established Tyson as a go-to weapon and earned conference recognition as one of the league’s top receivers. He followed that up in 2025 with 61 catches for 711 yards and eight touchdowns despite missing time with injury.

The production helped reshape Arizona State’s offensive identity under head coach Kenny Dillingham, with Tyson frequently drawing top defensive coverage and still producing explosive plays in the passing game.

It’s the latest example of ASU’s growing presence in the NFL pipeline, while leaving behind a production mark that will be remembered in Tempe for years to come.
