No, Lillard won’t be going to the Suns, but Phoenix could trade away Deandre Ayton in a multi-team deal if the organization feels it could get an upgrade for him.

The Suns are reportedly not being active in trade talks, but are listening to teams calling them. The Blazers reportedly have strong interest in Deandre Ayton.

Our Thoughts

T.J. McConnell and OG Anunoby are two players the Suns have been linked to already this offseason, and they would both fit perfectly into Phoenix’s system for the right price.

Any deal where the Suns could get one or the other of those two would be perfect for Phoenix. The Suns would likely have to take on Jusuf Nurkić as well to replace Ayton. I would think a deal involving either McConnell or Anunoby is the only way the Suns would consider trading away Ayton.

Ayton staying in Phoenix is another good option, if not the best. The Suns look ready to roll with him based on their moves this offseason. 

As for now, we wait around and see what will happen with Lillard.
