Believe it or not, the start of the 2023-2024 NBA regular season is now just under a month away.

While this season will certainly be one like we have never seen before as the NBA is introducing the new play-in tournament, it is also a very important and exciting season for the Phoenix Suns.

First and foremost, it marks the Suns’ inaugural full season under the ownership of Mat Ishbia. The Suns brought in Ishbia back in December 2022 following a scandal with their previous owner Robert Sarver.

Additionally, the Suns have a new head coach in the form of Frank Vogel, who they hired in early June. Vogel previously coached the Los Angeles Lakers for three years.

To top it all off, the Suns not only had the entire offseason to cultivate chemistry with the 13-time All-Star Kevin Durant, but they also bolstered their already deadly roster with the addition of Bradley Beal.

Here is how the Phoenix Suns stand in the betting markets with games just around the corner:

(All odds via DraftKings Sportsbook)

  • +350 to win Western Conference Championship, 2nd behind Denver Nuggets
  • +165 to win Pacific Division, 1st ahead of the Golden State Warriors
  • +650 to win NBA Finals, 3rd behind Celtics and Nuggets

And for the awards:

  • Kevin Durant +1300 to win MVP, 7th in NBA
  • Devin Booker +1800 to win MVP, 9th in NBA
  • Frank Vogel +1300 to win Coach of the Year, 7th in NBA

Currently, the Suns’ win line stands at 51.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. To put this into perspective, last season, they won 45 games, but over the past three years, they have consistently maintained an average of 53 wins per season.

This average over the past three years is higher than any other team in the NBA.
