The Arizona Cardinals are going into this season with very low expectations. The sports betting book, FanDuel, has the Cardinals over/under win total set at 4.5 wins. One of the others bets that can be made is betting on individual teams to win at least 10 games. Arizona has the longest odds by far to win 10 or more games. Arizona’s odds to win at least 10 games are +1600. The second closest teams are the Houston Texans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at +630.

What are the possibilities for Arizona?
If the season goes as expected the Cardinals have a great chance of having two of the first five picks in next year’s draft. They may even have the number one and two overall picks. This will give the Cardinals the chance to draft University of Southern California’s quarterback Caleb Williams. Williams has gotten very praise from NFL scouts.

One of the many reasons that the Cardinals are expected to be bad this year is that their starting quarterback is recovering from an injury. Kyler Murray tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee on December 12,2022 and had surgery to repair the ligament on January 3, 2023.
There is no exact timetable on when Murray will return but don’t be shocked if he misses most of this season. Murray is a very talented quarterback. What makes him standout among other quarterbacks outside of his lack of stature is his ability to break out of the pocket.Will Murray be the same coming off of an ACL tear? Be Bold and go for Gold
Kyler Murray is a two-time pro bowler who just turned 26 years old. It may be a crazy thought to move on from Murray but if one team is not scared to do it, its the Cardinals. Arizona drafted Murray number one overall just one year after taking Josh Rosen number 10 overall. It was the right decision as Murray has turned out to be a much better quarterback than Rosen.
Murray has been very productive so far in his career but Caleb Williams may be a generational talent according to lots of NFL scouts. The Cardinals could trade Murray to a team that believes they are a quarterback away from being a contender. The Bucs and/or Los Angeles Rams may be in the market for a quarterback next year. Murray should be worth multiple draft picks including at least one first round pick.
This year may a rough one for Cardinals’ fans. It will be worth it if Arizona is willing to be bold and take the greatest quarterback prospect since Andrew Luck.
