Devin Booker spoke at today’s media coverage and had a lot of interesting things to say about the direction of the new team and championship aspirations this season.
One of the things that everybody was waiting to hear him say was his thoughts on former teammate Deandre Ayton being traded this past week and what his overall thoughts are on it.
Booker had nothing but positive things to say about Ayton and his time in Phoenix as well as former teammates Mikal Bridges and Cameron Johnson.

As Booker said, all you can ask for is that they’re in a better situation and they continue to flourish and get better. And that’s exactly what Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson have done during their time in Brooklyn so far as well as when they played for Team USA.
And for Ayton, it seems like he’s in a better situation given the big smile on his face that Devin Booker was alluding to when the Trail Blazers team dropped a video of Ayton being all smiles while walking into the press room.

Ayton, Bridges, and Johnson will always be remembered in high regard by the Suns franchise and will go down as one of the best cores in franchise history. The team now looks completely different from a year ago as the aspirations for a championship have never been so high.
