Rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll has been named the Diamondbacks Heart & Hustle 2023 Award winner, as voted by both alumni and active players.

Despite battling some lingering shoulder pain, Carroll has played in 105 games this season. This is second on the Diamondbacks roster, only behind Ketel Marte, who has played in 106 games.

Carroll joined Zach Neto from the Angels as one of two rookies to be crowned winners.

Each year, one player from every team is selected to represent their club. The MLBPAA chooses the players based on “the passion, desire, and work ethic demonstrated both on and off the field.”

The overall winner of the award will be announced in November. Last season, it was former Diamondback Paul Goldschmidt.

If Carroll were to win, he would become the first rookie and first player from the NL West to do so.
