Corbin Carroll nears D-Backs triples record with perfect day vs. Rockies

The two triples pushed Carroll into third place among active MLB players in career triples (51), trailing only Mike Trout and Starling Marte. More importantly for Arizona, Carroll now sits just one triple shy of tying the Diamondbacks’ all-time franchise record — a remarkable feat for a player still so early in his career.

It’s another reminder of how the D-Backs developed their former No. 1 draft pick and what he’s been able to accomplish since. Carroll’s speed has always been elite, but his ability to consistently impact games with extra-base hits has elevated him into one of baseball’s most dynamic young stars.

Triples have become increasingly rare in today’s power-hitting game, making Carroll’s rise to the leaderboard even more significant, especially considering he’s only in his fourth major league season.

At just 25 years old, Carroll is already climbing past established veterans in the record books while helping reshape expectations for what a Diamondbacks star can become.
