GLENDALE – The biggest story heading into Arizona Cardinals OTAs is the absence of starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett. The 33-year-old is skipping these voluntary workouts because he is holding out for a new deal for 2026. Brissett just has over $1 million in guarantees for next season, and after the best season of his career, he’s looking for a payday.

Wilson is happy that Brissett is looking for proper compensation and feels indebted to him after a career year in 2025.

Wilson shows love to Brissett:
In his first two seasons, the 26-year-old had 85 catches for 1,113 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 29 games. And last season looked no different, as Wilson had eight catches for 52 yards in the first five games of the season. However, after Kyler Murray’s injury, Brissett went under center and unlocked a level of Wilson that no one saw coming.
Wilson had 954 yards in the final 12 games of the season to reach the 1,000 yard mark, the first Cardinals wide receiver to achieve that milestone since DeAndre Hopkins. He had insane single-game performances like in Week 11 vs. the San Francisco 49ers, 185 yards, and Week 14 vs. the Los Angeles rams, 142 yards and two touchdowns.

Wilson is reliable for an extension this offseason, and thanks massively to Brissett, he’s going to get a massive payday just from his production last season alone. For the past two seasons, Wilson has been viewed as second fiddle to Marvin Harrison Jr. since his arrival. That last 12 weeks changed that perception and has put him in the conversation as one of the most underrated wide receivers in the game. Making his support for Brissett’s holdout obvious.
