News coming out of Arizona as Deandre Hopkins will not be suiting up for the Arizona Cardinals for the last game of the year against the San Francisco 49ers which ultimately shuts him down for the 2022-23 season according to ESPN Adam Schefter.

Hopkins over the course of the year has played in 9 games catching 64 passes for 717 yards and 3 touchdowns. He missed the previous game already with a knee injury that sidelined him against the Atlanta Falcons along with the first 6 games of the year due to a suspension involving PED usage. With the Cardinals ultimately having nothing to play for when it comes to postseason aspirations, they have decided to just shut him down for the remainder of the year.
The Cardinals are also deciding to start quarterback David Blough this Sunday against the 49ers in what are likely meaningful snaps for him in regards to seeing if he’ll be the backup quarterback going into the offseason. In his last game against the Atlanta Falcons, he completed 60% of his passes for 222 passing yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.
