Hopkins over the course of the year has played in 9 games catching 64 passes for 717 yards and 3 touchdowns. He missed the previous game already with a knee injury that sidelined him against the Atlanta Falcons along with the first 6 games of the year due to a suspension involving PED usage. With the Cardinals ultimately having nothing to play for when it comes to postseason aspirations, they have decided to just shut him down for the remainder of the year.

The Cardinals are also deciding to start quarterback David Blough this Sunday against the 49ers in what are likely meaningful snaps for him in regards to seeing if he’ll be the backup quarterback going into the offseason. In his last game against the Atlanta Falcons, he completed 60% of his passes for 222 passing yards and 1 touchdown in the loss.

The Arizona Cardinals have one passing touchdown over the past four weeks

Kickoff for the game on Sunday is at 2:25 Mountain Standard Time at Levi’s Stadium as the Cardinals are looking to end the season off in a positive light heading into the offseason.
