Dixon saw the floor on Monday, July 1 against the Connecticut Sun, where she recorded a block in six minutes of play. Now, she looks ahead to the future.
The Mercury’s roster is now 10-deep, sitting behind the minimum of 11 players per roster. Phoenix will have to sign someone to replace Dixon.
The obvious need is some extra physicality on the glass, preferably at the power forward position. Phoenix is a bottom-three rebounding team in the WNBA, and could desperately use some extra size.
For Dixon, who’s worked hard not only to reach the WNBA but to stay there — best of luck in her future endeavors.
