Playoff contenders aren’t built solely through star power. They are built through relationships and culture. The transition from college to the NBA can overwhelm even elite prospects, and veterans who immediately embrace newcomers help accelerate that adjustment. Green, despite being only one season into his own Phoenix journey, stepped into that leadership role without hesitation.

With Green’s future repeatedly questioned by outside observers, his message sounded less like someone preparing for an exit and more like someone invested in building something. Jalen Green’s name has been in trade speculation recently. That’s the reality of the NBA, where talent, contracts, and roster construction are constantly evaluated. But inside the Suns’ practice facility, Green delivered a much different message than the one circulating online.

For Phoenix, Peat’s arrival represents the future. Green’s welcome suggested he intends to be part of it. If the Suns hope to compete deep into the postseason, developing chemistry before training camp may prove just as valuable as any move made on the transaction wire.
