GLENDALE – Entering Week 11, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Wilson had 231 receiving yards on the season. In five short weeks, he has more than tripled that number and joined the ranks of franchise history in the process. At 3-11, Arizona and its fans don’t have much to be impressed by, but the arrival of Wilson in the second half of 2025 has been sensational.

Wilson on the verge of first career milestone:
The former third-round pick is 234 receiving yards away, meaning he’ll need to average 78 yards in the team’s final three games. Despite his recent play, that might be a challenge with a few factors standing in his way.
The first is the opponents. In Week 16, Wilson plays against a top 10 pass defense in the Atlanta Falcons. When he played against a highly ranked pass defense the previous week in the Houston Texans, Wilson only had 54 receiving yards, which has become low for his standards.
However, afterwards, Wilson plays against the 28th passing defense in the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams, who he put up 142 receiving yards on two weeks ago. Those matchups will be on the road, which could be a problem as he hasn’t recorded more than 78 receiving yards ever on the road in his career.

The next factor is the reinsertion of Marvin Harrison Jr. into the lineup. Arizona will obviously want its top wide receiver back in the lineup, but that will certainly hurt Wilson’s production. From Week 11 to 14, Wilson had 185, 118, 36 and 142 receiving yards. If the point wasn’t already clear, the 36 receiving yards was when Harrison made his one-week return.
Harrison is questionable for Week 16 with a heel injury. Depending on if the franchise wants to protect its star wide receiver, or try to tank for a better pick, it could sit the former fourth overall pick and elect to allow Wilson to continue his hot streak and put his name up in Cardinals history.
