GLENDALE – Late in Sunday’s Week 14 blowout between the Los Angeles Rams and the Arizona Cardinals, tight end Trey McBride was sitting on four catches and looked to have his 5+ reception streak broken. However, on Arizona’s final drive of the game, quarterback Jacoby Brissett was able to find the Pro Bowler for the five-yard catch, making it his 15th straight game with 5+ catches and joining elite company.

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride (85) prepares to play the Los Angeles Rams at State Farm Stadium on Dec 7, 2025, in Glendale, Ariz.

McBride joins elite company

McBride joins Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce as the only players in NFL history to record at least five catches in 15 straight games. The record is just another one for the 26-year-old to add to his mantle, as he just surpassed Jimmy Graham last week for the most catches by a tight end in his first four seasons.

With 314 in his career, and 93 on the season, McBride is on the cusp of multiple more NFL records if he continues at his pace. He is seven catches away from becoming the first tight end with consecutive 100+ reception seasons and 23 away from the all-time single-season record for catches by a tight end.

If his production remains the same in the final four weeks of the season, McBride will break both records and cap off his stellar year with his first All-Pro selection. He would be the first Cardinals player since Budda Baker to earn the award, and he is the runaway favorite.
