The 25-year-old reached the milestone in the bottom of the sixth inning when he stole second base, securing his 30th of the season. Carroll hit his 31st home run against the Phillies in the same game, after hitting his 30th on Sept. 5 against the Boston Red Sox.

Carroll, the 2023 National League Rookie of the Year, has become one of the league’s power-speed threats and is showcasing his production at the top of the D-Backs’ lineup. He now joins Juan Soto, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Jose Ramirez as the only players to achieve a 30-30 season this year.

Only a handful of players each season reach the feat, requiring a combination of power and speed. The Diamondbacks outfielder also joined Jimmy Rollins and Willie Mays as the only players in history to record 30 home runs, 30 stolen bases and 15 triples.

This season, Carroll is batting .260 with 31 home runs, 83 RBIs and an .886 OPS.

Carroll’s achievement also comes during a crucial moment for the Snakes, who are playing for a National League wild-card spot. His performance has played an important role in Arizona’s postseason push.

The Diamondbacks are 1.0 games out of the final spot and have six games left to go this season to make one last run.

The Arizona Diamondbacks begin a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 6:40 p.m.
