PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns star guard Bradley Beal is reportedly unwilling to waive his no-trade clause if he were to be dealt to the Chicago Bulls, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This is another wrinkle in the Beal-Suns saga where despite Phoenix’s reported desire to trade the three-time All-Star for disgruntled Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler, any move the Suns make hinges on Beal waiving his no-trade clause. He is one of two NBA players with a no-trade clause (LeBron James).
It has been reported that Beal is willing to waive his clause for specific destinations, but Chicago is a destination that he is now unwilling to be moved to.
Chicago was, briefly, mentioned as team that could jump in and facilitate a multi-team trade where Phoenix gets Butler and a third team gets Beal as Miami reportedly has no interest in taking on Beal’s contract. The deal would have most likely included Bulls star guard Zach LaVine, who is having a resurgent season.
Phoenix’s quest to find a team to take Beal continues.
