PHOENIX — Devin Booker and Kevin Durant took charge in the fourth quarter to lead the Phoenix Suns past a gritty Los Angeles Clippers, 111-109.

Durant followed with 24 points (9-19 FG) four rebounds and five assists. Grayson Allen had a huge night off the bench, scoring 18 points and draining four 3-pointers. Tyus Jones added 17 points and five assists.
The Clippers were carried by their starters and only scored eight points from their reserves. Ivica Zubac led Los Angeles with 25 points (12-17 FG), followed by James Harden with 24 points, 10 assists and six rebounds, and Norman Powell with 23 points (8-14 FG). Kawhi Leonard added only 14 points (7-14 FG).
Phoenix improves to 24-21 on the season and prepares for a playoff rematch against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Suns withstand strong Clippers 3rd quarter
The Clippers started the third quarter on a 20-6 run to take the lead for a brief moment until the Suns regained control of the game and took the lead heading into the fourth quarter, 83-78.
Tyus Jones continued his aggression and scored six points in the quarter to bring his total up to 15 on the night. Devin Booker (18 points) and Kevin Durant (17 points) scored five points each in the quarter.
All of Los Angeles’ starters notched double figures in the third quarter. Amir Coffey (four points) was the only Clipper off the bench to score to that point in the game. Ivica Zubac led the Clippers with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Allen, Booker extend Suns lead over Clippers in 2nd quarter
Grayson Allen kickstarted a dominant Suns second quarter with back-to-back threes to add to his 11-point first half and push Phoenix over the Clippers going into halftime, 60-47.
Devin Booker started to knock down shots as well, scoring eight of his 13 first half points in the second quarter. He led all scorers going into halftime, followed by Durant (12), Allen (11), Jones (9) and Royce O’Neale (9).
Kawhi Leonard only scored four points (2-of-5 FG) in the first half. Zubac led Los Angeles in scoring with 12 points and seven rebounds. Derick Jones Jr. scored 11 points (4-6 FG), Norman Powell had 10 (4-8 FG) and James Harden packed the stat sheet with eight points, four rebounds and five assists at half.

Durant, Jones lead Suns in 1st quarter
Kevin Durant and Tyus Jones got it going early, scoring 10 and nine points respectively to push Phoenix over the Clippers in the first quarter, 34-30.
Devin Booker and Grayson Allen added five points each, followed by Royce O’Neale with three points.
Clippers big man Ivica Zubac had a strong start, scoring eight points and getting Suns center Nick Richards in foul trouble early. Derrick Jones Jr. led Los Angeles with nine points after one quarter, including an emphatic putback dunk.
Injury report
The Suns were without rookie wing Ryan Dunn, who suffered a left ankle sprain in a 119-109 win over the Washington Wizards Saturday. The Clippers were without Kris Dunn, who was managing a left knee injury.
