Potential All-Star Cleveland Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley is officially out against the Phoenix Suns on Monday with a right calf strain. The 23-year-old All-Defensive forward will miss his second-straight game after being absent for a 124-117 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night.

Mobley is having a career year, averaging 18.6 points (career-high), 8.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game and is shooting an unprecedented 42.1% from 3-point range, topping last season’s career-high of 37.3 percent.
This news is huge for the Suns (21-20) who have had to address their shortcomings in the frontcourt by trading for athletic seven-foot center Nick Richards from the Charlotte Hornets. Richards stunned in Suns his debut, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds while being a game-high +22 in 29 minutes in a 125-121 win over the Detroit Pistons.
Mobley and his frontcourt mate Jarrett Allen have been the defensive anchors for the NBA-best Cavaliers (35-6) this season.
Along with Mobley, Cavs’ forward Isaac Okoro will miss his second-consecutive game with a shoulder injury. Phoenix will be without Jusuf Nurkic (return to competition reconditioning) and are hopeful that Bradley Beal (left ankle sprain) will return, he is questionable.
