Report: Jimmy Butler and Heat reaching breaking point

The Suns have already made one trade this week acquiring Nick Richards and they might not be done just yet. Phoenix has been rumored as a landing spot for the Heat’s disgruntled star Jimmy Butler for months now and things appear to be reaching a breaking point for him in Miami.  A recent report by ESPN outlined just how toxic things have gotten between the 6x All-Star and his franchise.

The report explains how the team had hoped that the recent 7 game suspension would allow time for the team to be away from Butler. And that during that time, Butler would be able to meet with team president Pat Riley and figure things out.

Instead, it had the opposite result.

Butler appears more upset than ever with the team and is now set to return from his suspension. He even spent some of his time on suspension away from Miami and was seen recording a video with a young fan where he said, “See, I gave you a compliment. That’s what bosses do, they build you up. They don’t break you down.”.

ESPN’s report went on to say that several people within the Heat organization are concerned about bringing Butler back into the locker and that some don’t want him there. The report also stated that some think that Butler hasn’t even gotten started yet on making things uncomfortable for the organization.

Miami and Butler return to action on Friday night when host the Nuggets.
