The 2024 Fiesta Bowl is set to kickoff in 24 hours as Boise State will be taking on Penn State in College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchup. This is the first year that the playoffs have expanded from four teams to twelve, making this the first quarterfinal matchup in the history of college football. Monday morning both head coaches took to the mic to answer questions from media and talked about how excited they both are for the matchup.

The Broncos are the champions of the Mountain West and feature an offense that’s averaging over 39 points a game. They are led by one of the most dynamic players in all of college football in Heisman Finalist Ashton Jeanty. The running back has already accounted for 2,497 yards rushing and 29 touchdowns and is going to have a chance at breaking Barry Sanders single season NCAA rushing record with 131 yards on Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions finished second in the Big Ten behind only Oregon. They feature one of the best defenses in the country, giving up only 280 yards a game which is the 4th least in the nation. Penn State is coming off a dominate CFP opening round win over SMU where they won 38-10, holding the Ponies to just 58 yards on the ground.

Kickoff for the Fiesta Bowl is set for 5:30 pm.
