Making a difficult prediction before one of the biggest events in the Valley of the Sun, a giant animal at the Phoenix Zoo has guessed the winner of the Fiesta Bowl.

Chutti, a greater one-horned rhinoceros, picked No. 3 Boise State to win the Fiesta Bowl over No. 6 Penn State on New Year’s Eve. Whoever wins will progress to the CFP semifinals.

Having two cardboard boxes standing in front of Chutti, the rhino first went towards the blue and orange box with the Broncos’ logo on it, declaring Boise State its champion. Chutti then flattened the Penn State box to signal who it thinks will be eliminated from the CFP.

In the history of the Fiesta Bowl, both teams have achieved extreme success in Glendale. Penn State is 7-0 and Boise State is 3-0 in the bowl game.

Led by star running back Ashton Jeanty, Boise State is 12-1 this year, was 7-0 in the Mountain West and won the conference championship over UNLV. Returning to the Fiesta Bowl for a record-eighth time, Penn State (12-2, 11-1 Big 10) will look to follow up on its first-round 38-10 victory over SMU.

The first-ever College Football Playoff quarterfinal between Penn State and Boise State starts at 5:30 p.m. MST inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. It will be televised on ESPN.
