Cordova, a Tucson native, hadn’t played a game for Arizona State after being a walk-on this season and will still have four years of eligibility remaining.
Out of Salpointe Catholic High School, he was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 52 best high school player by 247Sports. Cordova received an offer from ASU’s arch-rival Arizona in 2021 before joining the Sun Devils.
The winter portal is just a week away from closing, and more news on players leaving or staying will come out before it is shut on Dec. 28. Arizona State has now seen 14 players enter the portal and recruited three new additions through it.
