Myles Amey, the son of Arizona State assistant Vince Amey, announced that he will be looking for a new opportunity in his collegiate career.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God for his blessings and my family for being the best support system I could ever need,” Amey said. “I would also like to thank Arizona State University for providing me with an opportunity to live out my dream of being a part of my hometown team. I have made friendships and bonds that will carry on for a lifetime. With that being said, I will be entering the transfer portal with two years of eligibility left.”

Since returning to the Valley last season following his true freshman year in 2022 at Idaho State, Myles Amey never made an appearance as a Sun Devil. He was a part of the program’s scout team.

At Idaho State, he recorded a tackle and a sack that forced a fumble in three games. The Gilbert native finished his high school career at Higley with 4.0 sacks and 59 tackles.

Myles Amey is the third defensive lineman after Kyran Boudra and J’Mond Tapp did so at the beginning of this week. ASU also lost linebacker K’Vion Thunderbird, cornerback LT Weltch, safety Kamari Wilson, cornerback Keontez Bradley and defensive tackle Tristan Monday on defense.
