Durant and Devin Booker combined for 63 points in the win over Los Angeles, as Booker recorded a season-high 33 points. Booker said postgame that one of the biggest differences in this close of a game was “tough shot-making by Kevin Durant.”
Very few can match Durant’s longevity as he recently became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 29,000 points.
Suns forward Royce O’Neale has seen Durant’s greatness up close with Phoenix and when the two were teammates on the Brooklyn Nets. He discussed what people take for granted when watching Durant play.
“I think the things he do,” O’Neale said. “His leadership, his tough baskets. He puts in the work every day. He leads by example, and then just to see his labor and fruits just out there making everything look so easy. I mean he been in this league for a long time, playing against him and being on his team is special.”
