ASU football is on its second bye week and while the program prepares for its next matchup on the schedule against Oklahoma State, the Sun Devils have seen its top recruit from the 2025 class decommit.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! After Dallastown (Pa.) Area High School wide receiver Michael Scott decommitted last Thursday, Weiss (Tex.) High School receiver Adrian Wilson has decided to do the same, re-opening his recruitment from a college for the third time since June 2023.
“I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to be part of your program. After careful consideration and reflection, I have decided to decommit from Arizona State University,” Wilson said on X/Twitter. “Re-opening my recruitment was not an easy decision, as I hold a great deal of respect for the coaching staff and the vision you have for the program.
“I believe this choice is necessary for my personal and athletic growth, and I wish nothing but the best for the team and the future of ASU. I will always cherish the connections I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had during this process. Thank you for your understanding.”

According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-1, 175-pound wideout is a four-star recruit and the 38th-best high school player in Texas.
In the past, Wilson received a host of other offers from Baylor, Houston, SMU, Arizona, Texas State, Texas Tech, UTSA, Colorado State, Lamar, South Carolina, UTEP, Penn State, Tulane, Auburn, Louisville, Kansas, Purdue, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Utah and Ole Miss.
Improving from a three to a four-star in his senior year, La Cueva (N.M.) High School quarterback Cameron Dyer is now the highest-ranked high school recruit pledged to Arizona State. Dyer is committed as a wide receiver for the Sun Devils.
Now that Scott and Wilson have forgone their opportunity to become Sun Devils, ASU has three receiver commits for next season. Dyer, Centennial (Calif.) High School’s Cory Butler and San Tan Charter’s Uriah Neloms are all set to join receivers coach Hines Ward’s group in 2025.
