After defeating Gilbert and Basha while allowing just three total runs through both games, the Bulldogs (22-7) are as hot as ever right now.

Entering Saturday, the team is currently on a six-game win streak and has gained momentum at the perfect time. They currently rank as the No. 4 team in Arizona according to MaxPreps.

Mountain Ridge is also coming off back-to-back playoff victories and has outscored its two opponents 13-1.

After being knocked out by the eventual 6A Champion Hamilton Huskies last year, the Mountain Lions (14-12) are looking to make an even deeper run this season. Senior infielder Jackson Forbes leads the team with 21 hits and 22 runs on the year.

The winner on Saturday will advance to the Pool A 6A Final and the loser will face Basha with a chance at a rematch.

This matchup between two steaming hot playoff teams will take place at 6:30 p.m. MST @ Tempe Diablo Stadium.
